🏢 असली दुनिया में
May से Rohit हर समय जानना चाहता है कि paper के कितने ream बचे हैं, कौन सा item सबसे तेज़ बिकता है और back store में कितना माल पड़ा है। इसके लिए TallyPrime में inventory चाहिए। April का ₹30,000 का closing stock अब items का opening stock बनेगा – और दोनों बिल्कुल बराबर होने चाहिए।

Accounts integrate होने पर stock value stock items से आती है। April का closing stock items के opening stock में रखें (नीचे) और ध्यान रखें कि Stock-in-Hand ledger इसे दोबारा न गिने।
पाँच inventory masters
- 1Gateway of Tally → Create → Stock Group: Paper Products (Under: Primary)। Writing Instruments के लिए दोहराएँ।
- 2Create → Unit: Type Simple, Symbol Nos, formal name Numbers, decimals 0। Ream और Box के लिए दोहराएँ।
- 3Create → Unit: Type Compound, First unit Box, Conversion 10, Second unit Nos → “Box of 10 Nos”।
- 4Create → Godown: Main Shop, Back Store।
- 5Create → Stock Item: नाम, Under (stock group), Units, फिर Opening Balance – godown, quantity, rate (value अपने-आप)।
- 6हर master के बाद Ctrl+A। Stock-item screen के अंदर से Alt+C से छूटा group या unit बनाएँ।

Opening stock value ₹30,000 = April closing stock ₹30,000 (Day 13)। दोनों अलग हों तो balance sheet सही आगे नहीं बढ़ेगी।

Simple unit
- एक unit: Nos, Kg, Ream, Mtr
- Decimal places (Kg 3, Nos 0)
- ज़्यादातर items के लिए
Compound unit
- Conversion के साथ दो simple units
- Box of 10 Nos, Dozen of 12 Nos
- Box में ख़रीदें, खुला बेचें – stock 3 Box 4 Nos दिखे

Stock group और stock category में क्या अंतर है?
Stock group मुख्य classification (product type) है जिससे stock summary के totals बनते हैं; stock category वैकल्पिक समानांतर classification (brand, size) है जो groups के पार जाती है।
Inventory का opening stock पिछले accounts के closing stock के बराबर क्यों हो?
क्योंकि integrated accounts में balance sheet stock value items से लेती है; अंतर हो तो carry-forward टूटता है और opening balances में difference आता है।
