Programming Learning Roadmap

Most beginners do not fail because coding is hard – they fail because they jump between random videos without a sequence. This page gives you one clear path for each goal, using the free day-wise courses on CodingEasily. Pick the goal closest to yours, follow it in order, and do not move on until you have built the practice task at the end of each stage.

Time guide: about 1–2 hours a day. A “day” in our courses is one focused lesson plus its practice task. If a lesson takes you two days, that is normal – consistency matters more than speed.

Choose your goal

Your goalFollow this pathApprox. time
Build websites / frontend jobHTML → CSS → JavaScript → projects65 days + projects
Data analyst / data science jobPython basics → Data Science (60 days) → SQL4–5 months
CBSE Class 11–12 (CS or IP)Class 11 → Class 12 CS/IP course → MySQL → practical fileAlong with the school year
BCA / B.Sc. / B.Tech semester examsC → C++ or Java → DBMS & MySQL → PythonOne language per semester
Android or full-stack appsJavaScript or Java → PHP + MySQL → Android / Next.js5–6 months

Path 1: Web development

  1. HTML in 15 days – page structure, forms, tables, semantic tags, accessibility. Checkpoint: a personal profile page with a contact form.
  2. CSS in 20 days – box model, Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, variables. Checkpoint: a responsive landing page that works at 360 px width.
  3. JavaScript in 30 days – DOM, events, arrays, fetch/API, localStorage, modules. Checkpoint: a to-do app and a weather or quiz app using a public API.
  4. Publish 2–3 projects on GitHub Pages and add them to a one-page resume.
  5. Next: Next.js + React or PHP with MySQL for back-end work.

Path 2: Python and data science

  1. Python – variables, conditions, loops, functions, lists, dictionaries, files, errors. Checkpoint: solve the 24 practice programs without looking at the code.
  2. Data Science in 60 days – NumPy, Pandas, cleaning, EDA, statistics, visualisation, scikit-learn, model evaluation, deployment. Checkpoint: the end-to-end customer-churn project.
  3. SQL from the MySQL course – SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries. Most data-analyst interviews include an SQL round.
  4. Build a portfolio: one cleaning + EDA notebook, one dashboard, one ML model with a short write-up of the business problem.

Path 3: CBSE Computer Science / Informatics Practices

  1. Class 11: Computer Science or Informatics Practices – Python basics, lists, dictionaries, and (IP) NumPy introduction.
  2. Class 12: CS (functions, file handling, stack, networking, SQL connectivity) or IP (Pandas, Matplotlib, SQL functions).
  3. Practise SQL queries on a real table in MySQL – board exams always include output-based SQL questions.
  4. Class 10 IT (402) students: use the notes section for spreadsheets, Goal Seek, scenarios and word processing.

Path 4: College programming (BCA, B.Sc., B.Tech, MCA)

  1. C for logic: loops, arrays, pointers, functions, structures. Write all 50 classic C programs by hand once.
  2. C++ or Java for object-oriented programming: classes, inheritance, polymorphism, exceptions, collections.
  3. DBMS theory plus SQL practice in the MySQL + DBMS course: keys, normalisation, transactions, users and privileges.
  4. Python for scripting, data work and final-year projects.

Habits that make any roadmap work

  • Type, do not copy. Typing code yourself is how syntax becomes memory.
  • Predict the output before running. Every lesson on this site shows the real output, so you can check your prediction.
  • Read the error message. The first and last lines usually tell you the file, the line number and the cause.
  • Revise weekly. Redo one old practice task every Sunday without notes.
  • Build something small every two weeks. Projects reveal gaps that reading never does.

Frequently asked questions

Should I start with C or Python? If your syllabus uses C, start with C. Otherwise start with Python – its simpler syntax lets you focus on logic.

Can I learn web development and data science together? It is better to finish one path to the project stage first. Switching too early leaves both half-done.

Do I need a powerful laptop? No. HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python basics run on any computer; Google Colab handles data-science work in the browser.
