How to prepare a practical file from these programs

  1. Choose 15–20 programs that match your syllabus list – most boards and universities ask for input/output, conditions, loops, arrays, strings and functions.
  2. Type each program yourself and run it. Change the input values and note the new output; examiners often ask “what happens if the input is 0 or negative?”.
  3. Write in this order for each program: aim, algorithm (4–6 steps), code, sample input, output, and one line of conclusion.
  4. Prepare for viva: be ready to explain why a loop starts at 1 or 2, the difference between = and ==, and the time complexity of searching and sorting programs.

Which language should you pick?

Use the language your syllabus names. If you are free to choose, Python gives the shortest code and is used in CBSE Class 11–12, while C builds the strongest base for B.Tech and BCA data-structure subjects. Java and C++ are best for object-oriented programming papers, and PHP when your project is a website with a MySQL database.

MySQL note: MySQL is a database query language, therefore arithmetic console programs are not duplicated as misleading SQL programs. Use the dedicated SQL Practice Programs section.
