Windows 11: Snipping Tool recording
- Press Win + Shift + R (or open Snipping Tool → video camera icon → New).
- Drag to select the area – e.g. only the PowerPoint window.
- Turn the microphone and system-audio buttons on or off as needed.
- Click Start; a 3-second countdown begins.
- Click Stop (red square). Preview, then Save – the MP4 goes to Videos → Screen Recordings.
Windows: Xbox Game Bar
Open the app you want to record and press Win + Alt + R to start and stop. Press Win + Alt + M to mute/unmute the mic. Videos are saved in Videos → Captures. It records one app, so it cannot capture the desktop.
Android and iPhone
- Android: swipe down twice → Screen record (add it via the pencil icon if missing) → choose audio (None / Microphone / Device audio) → Start.
- iPhone: Settings → Control Centre → add Screen Recording. Then swipe down from the top-right → long-press the record button → Microphone on/off → Start Recording.
- Stop from the notification (Android) or the red pill in the status bar (iPhone). Videos go to the gallery/Photos.
Recording a good lesson video
- Plan 3–5 points; keep each video 5–10 minutes.
- Use earphones with a mic or a cheap lapel mic – audio quality matters more than video.
- Increase text size (Ctrl + mouse wheel) and close extra tabs.
- Use OBS Studio if you want your webcam in a corner: Sources → Display Capture + Video Capture Device.
- Trim the start and end in the Windows Clipchamp or Photos app before sharing.
- Upload to YouTube as Unlisted or to Google Drive and share the link instead of sending large files on WhatsApp.
Permission and privacy
Inform participants before recording a meeting or class, and follow your school/company policy. Some apps (banking, Netflix, protected exams) block screen recording – that is intentional. Recording someone’s video call without consent can be illegal.

Windows 11: Snipping Tool recording
- Win + Shift + R दबाएँ (या Snipping Tool → video camera icon → New)।
- हिस्सा चुनने के लिए drag करें – जैसे सिर्फ़ PowerPoint window।
- ज़रूरत के हिसाब से microphone और system-audio buttons चालू/बंद करें।
- Start पर click करें; 3 सेकंड की गिनती शुरू होती है।
- Stop (लाल वर्ग) पर click करें। Preview करें, फिर Save – MP4 Videos → Screen Recordings में जाती है।
Windows: Xbox Game Bar
जिस app को record करना है उसे खोलकर start और stop के लिए Win + Alt + R दबाएँ। Mic mute/unmute के लिए Win + Alt + M। Videos Videos → Captures में save होते हैं। यह एक app record करता है, desktop नहीं।
Android और iPhone
- Android: दो बार नीचे swipe → Screen record (न हो तो pencil icon से जोड़ें) → audio चुनें (None / Microphone / Device audio) → Start।
- iPhone: Settings → Control Centre → Screen Recording जोड़ें। फिर ऊपर-दाएँ से नीचे swipe → record button देर तक दबाएँ → Microphone on/off → Start Recording।
- Notification (Android) या status bar की लाल pill (iPhone) से रोकें। Videos gallery/Photos में जाते हैं।
अच्छा lesson video record करना
- 3–5 points तय करें; हर video 5–10 मिनट रखें।
- Mic वाले earphones या सस्ता lapel mic – video से ज़्यादा audio quality मायने रखती है।
- Text size बढ़ाएँ (Ctrl + mouse wheel) और extra tabs बंद करें।
- Corner में webcam चाहिए तो OBS Studio: Sources → Display Capture + Video Capture Device।
- Share से पहले Windows Clipchamp या Photos app में शुरुआत और अंत trim करें।
- WhatsApp पर बड़ी files भेजने की जगह YouTube पर Unlisted या Google Drive पर upload करके link share करें।
अनुमति और privacy
Meeting या class record करने से पहले प्रतिभागियों को बताएँ, और school/company की नीति मानें। कुछ apps (banking, Netflix, protected exams) screen recording रोकते हैं – यह जान-बूझकर है। बिना सहमति किसी की video call record करना ग़ैरक़ानूनी हो सकता है।
