AdSense Low Value Content: Practical Fix Checklist
Improve content quality, trust pages, navigation and user experience before requesting review.
What “Low value content” really means
When AdSense rejects a site for Low value content, reviewers found that the site does not yet offer enough original, useful content for visitors. It is about the whole site, not one page, and it is the most common rejection reason for new educational and blog sites.
| Usually causes it | Example |
|---|---|
| Template or auto-generated pages | Dozens of pages with the same sentences and only the topic name changed |
| Thin pages | 150-word posts, “coming soon” pages, empty categories |
| Copied or lightly rewritten content | Text taken from other sites, PDFs or AI output without real value added |
| Poor navigation | Pages not reachable from menus; broken links; no About/Contact |
| Mostly links, downloads or embeds | Pages that only list external links or embed videos |
Step 1: Audit your own site honestly
- List every indexable URL (from your sitemap) with its word count and last update.
- Search for repeated sentences across pages – identical paragraphs on many pages are the clearest sign of templated content.
- Open 10 random pages as a visitor: would you bookmark or share this page?
- Check Search Console → Pages for “Crawled – currently not indexed” – often a quality signal.
- Check About, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms and Disclaimer pages exist and are linked in the footer.
Step 2: Fix – improve, merge or remove
| Page type | Action |
|---|---|
| Valuable topic, thin content | Rewrite with real examples, steps, screenshots/outputs, mistakes and FAQs |
| Two or more pages on the same topic | Merge into one strong page and 301-redirect the others |
| Duplicate of a better page on your own site | 301 redirect to the better page |
| No value and no traffic | Delete (404/410) or noindex until rewritten |
| Empty tag/category/search pages | noindex and remove from the sitemap |
What “useful” looks like for a tutorial site
- Original explanations in your own words, with examples from the reader’s life.
- Code that actually runs, with the real output shown; screenshots or diagrams where they help.
- Common mistakes, practice questions, FAQs from real learners.
- Clear author information and an editorial/correction policy.
- Fast, mobile-friendly pages with readable code blocks.
- Internal links between related lessons so visitors can continue learning.
Step 3: Before you reapply
- Finish the improvements across the site (not just 5 pages).
- Update the sitemap and request indexing for key pages in Search Console.
- Make sure the AdSense code/ads.txt is on the site and policy pages are linked.
- Wait until improved pages are crawled (often 2–4 weeks), then reapply from AdSense → Sites.
- Do not reapply repeatedly every few days without real changes.
Technical basics that support review: sitemap, robots.txt, 404 fixes.
“Low value content”
- Search Console → Pages में “Crawled – currently not indexed” देखें – अक्सर quality का संकेत।
- जाँचें कि About, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms और Disclaimer pages हैं और footer में linked हैं।
| Page
301 redirect |
Tutorial site
Frequently Asked Questions
How many posts do I need for AdSense approval?
There is no official number. Reviewers look for enough original, useful content to give visitors value; many approved sites have 25–50 strong pages, while hundreds of thin pages can still be rejected.
Can AI-written content get AdSense approval?
Google’s focus is on helpfulness, not on how content is produced. Mass-produced pages with little original value are a common reason for rejection; content you edit, test and enrich with real examples is different.
How long should I wait before reapplying?
Reapply after you have improved the site and Google has recrawled the changed pages – usually a few weeks. Reapplying without changes leads to the same result.
