Use profiles on a shared computer
In a staff room or family PC, give each person their own Chrome profile. Bookmarks, saved passwords, history and Google sign-in stay separate. Use Guest mode (profile icon → Guest) for a visitor – nothing is saved after the window closes.
Safety settings to check
- Settings → Privacy and security → Safe Browsing → Enhanced protection for stronger warnings about dangerous sites and downloads.
- Safety check (Settings → Privacy and security) shows outdated Chrome, compromised passwords and harmful extensions.
- Remove unknown extensions at
chrome://extensions– extensions can read the pages you visit. - Site settings → Notifications: block sites that spam “You won a prize” pop-ups.
For teachers presenting in class
- F11 for full screen; Ctrl + + to make text readable for the back rows.
- Cast a tab to a smart TV/Chromecast: ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Cast.

- Turn off notifications (Windows Focus) before presenting.

साझा computer पर profiles इस्तेमाल करें
Staff room या परिवार के PC पर हर व्यक्ति को अलग Chrome profile दें। Bookmarks, saved passwords, history और Google sign-in अलग रहते हैं। मेहमान के लिए Guest mode (profile icon → Guest) – window बंद होने के बाद कुछ save नहीं होता।
जाँचने लायक safety settings
- Settings → Privacy and security → Safe Browsing → Enhanced protection ख़तरनाक sites और downloads की मज़बूत चेतावनियों के लिए।
- Safety check (Settings → Privacy and security) पुराना Chrome, compromised passwords और हानिकारक extensions दिखाता है।
chrome://extensionsपर अनजान extensions हटाएँ – extensions आपके देखे pages पढ़ सकते हैं।- Site settings → Notifications: “आपने इनाम जीता” pop-ups भेजने वाली sites block करें।
Class में present करने वाले teachers के लिए
- Full screen के लिए F11; पीछे की rows के लिए text पढ़ने लायक करने को Ctrl + +।
