Priority = impact (1–5) × (6 − effort), where effort 1 is easiest. High-impact, low-effort fixes come first.

Solved examples
Example 1: Write the audit summary for the owner
- Biggest problem: robots.txt blocks all course pages – Google cannot read them. Fix today (5 minutes).
- No Google Business Profile – you are missing the map results for “computer institute near me”. Create and verify this week.
- Same title on every page – write unique titles for the 8 main pages.
- Slow gallery – compress 12 images (saves about 47 MB).
- Next month: fees and FAQs on the Tally page, redirects to one https host, local link-earning plan.
- How we measure: monthly clicks, enquiries from Google (GA4), indexed pages and reviews.
Practice exercises (unsolved – answer hidden)
Try each exercise yourself first – on paper, in a text editor or on your own site – then open the answer to check.
🏋️ Practice – do it yourself
Show solution
Your audit is complete if: every checklist row has a yes/no with evidence (screenshot or URL), each issue has impact, effort and priority, the top 3–4 fixes are clear, and success is measured in clicks and enquiries – not promises of rank.Show solution
Homepage hero image is lazy-loaded (20) > Contact page phone differs from GBP (20) > Blog posts have no internal links (15) > Hindi pages have no hreflang (12).Show solution
CTR 3.71% → 4.45%; clicks +32.7%. Clicks grew faster than impressions, so the titles/descriptions are working.🏅 Job skills unlocked today

💼 Interview Corner
What is SEO and why do businesses need it?
Improving a site so it can be found, understood and trusted by search engines and earn unpaid traffic from relevant searches; it brings steady, high-intent visitors without paying per click.
On-page vs off-page vs technical SEO?
On-page: content and HTML of each page (title, headings, internal links). Technical: crawlability, indexing, speed, mobile, HTTPS, structured data. Off-page: reputation outside the site – links, mentions, reviews.
What is a canonical tag?
A link element that tells Google the preferred URL among duplicate or very similar pages, consolidating signals to that URL.
A page’s traffic dropped suddenly. How do you investigate?
Check Search Console for manual actions, indexing changes and which queries/pages dropped; check robots.txt, noindex, redirects and server errors; compare with known Google updates; check if the SERP changed (new features, competitors); then fix the cause.
How would you do SEO for a Hindi + English website?
Separate URLs for each language, fully translated content (not mixed), hreflang between versions, language-specific keyword research including Hinglish, and localised titles and descriptions.
Which tools do you use?
Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, PageSpeed Insights, Rich Results Test, Google Business Profile, Google Trends and Keyword Planner; optional paid suites for large sites.
Summary
- Audit five areas: crawl/index, on-page, content, experience, off-page/local.
- Priority = impact × (6 − effort) – quick, high-impact fixes first.
- Report trends and business results, not single rankings.
- GSC = before the click, GA4 = after the click.
Course complete! Apply everything to a real website, keep a monthly report, and revisit Days 3, 5 and 7 whenever you start a new site.
